Can a browser handle a full 3D Battle-Race? 🏎️πŸ’₯
I challenged myself to build a complete 3D Game Experience 100% natively in Omma for the Buildathon! πŸš€
What’s inside: πŸ›Έ Interactive Showroom: Explore futuristic vehicles in a full 3D view. πŸ† Progression System: Choose and unlock levels with unique environments. βš”οΈ Dual-Mode Gameplay: Switch between Realistic Racing (AI competition) and high-octane Battle Mode (with weapon transformations!).
The goal was to push the boundaries of what's possible in web-based 3D.

This is seriously impressive πŸ”₯ Combining showroom, progression, and dual gameplay modes in a browser-based 3D experience is no small feat.
Curious β€” how did you manage performance and interactions, especially in battle mode?

Thanks! Glad you liked the complexity. πŸš€
To keep it seamless, I used custom state management for the mode transitions and geometry optimization to maintain high FPS in the browser.
The goal was a console-like experience without the lag.

That’s really smart πŸ‘ Using state management for smooth transitions + geometry optimization makes a lot of sense for keeping performance stable in-browser.
Love the focus on delivering a console-like experience β€” that’s not easy to pull off πŸš€

it would be a lot more fun if you add turning points and more visible tracks using Omma!

Great point! πŸŽοΈπŸ’¨
I’m already exploring Omma’s path tools to add sharper turns and more dynamic track textures in the next update. This will definitely level up the driving physics!
