Simple Life — Wildlife-Friendly Garden Design Website
I designed and developed a modern website for Simple Life, a garden design and landscaping business serving East Kent.
The project was designed to communicate something different from a typical landscaping website: gardens that are beautiful, personal, and connected to nature.
The visual direction was built around the company's wildlife-friendly approach, while still presenting its garden design and landscaping services in a polished and professional way. Simple Life works across projects ranging from smaller terraces to larger commercial estates, with an emphasis on creating outdoor spaces that work harmoniously with nature

Why does a dashboard full of numbers still feel calm?
Bento grids are everywhere, and done right it's not a trend, it's information design. Each cell = one number, one meaning. The grid does the hierarchy for you.
Our three rules for a bento that works:
One idea per cell. Progress, glucose, one task. If a card needs two sentences, it needs two cards.
Mix the scale. One hero cell, a few mediums, one tiny stat, same gap everywhere.
One warm cell. A single card runs warm against the cool, dark screen; it carries the eye, and the rest stay quiet. No neon needed. Grids are calm. Content is loud. That's the whole trick.

Theory was designed for a creative studio that needed something bold and editorial without losing clarity or usability.
The part I loved most was figuring out how to make the site feel visually expressive while still giving the portfolio work room to breathe. Lots of strong type, intentional movement, and little custom details throughout.
Designed + developed in Squarespace 7.1 with custom CSS and JavaScript.
The oversized “recent work” type over the project imagery is a lovely touch. Gives the portfolio a real editorial feel.
Spent some time on and off building something just for fun: a live voting site for the argument that never ends — Messi vs Ronaldo.
The football angle is just the hook. Underneath it's closer to a small product than a toy:
- Real payments, real-time — $1 buys a vote, and the global and per-country standings update live as they land
- A 14-tier progression system, Debutant up to GOAT, each level earned and never lost, with three visual card finishes (stands / pitch / history) as you climb
- Every voter gets their own generated card — name, country, camp, vote count — with a shareable page of its own
- A full visual identity built from scratch: stat-heavy and editorial rather than templated
No prizes, no payouts — it's a fan-support board, not a betting site. What I actually wanted to test was whether a dead-simple mechanic (pick a side, back it with money) could carry its own visual language and hold up on repeat visits.
If this one lands, I'd like to keep going with the same format for other sports — there's no shortage of GOAT arguments to settle.
