🎬 New Short Film: When Your Own City Becomes a Luxury
Over the past few days, I challenged myself to create a complete short film for the TapTV Arena × EAST2046: Turning Dreams into Cinema competition.
The story asks a simple question:
What if the city you grew up in became a place you could no longer afford to live in?
When Your Own City Becomes a Luxury follows two people whose lives slowly drift apart as housing costs transform London into a luxury reserved for the wealthy.
This project pushed me to think not only about storytelling, but also about visual consistency, pacing, cinematic editing, sound design, and emotional impact. From the first concept to the final master, it was an intense creative sprint.

About the Project
AI can generate stunning visuals in seconds, but it still lacks one crucial element: human intuition, taste, and emotional depth. For the Envato Challenge, I wanted to showcase the exact moment where human judgment turns a raw AI layout into a high-end, commercial-grade video.
The Workflow & My "Human by Design" Moment
When working with AI video generations, it’s easy to get lost in technical perfection that ultimately feels empty. My turning point in this project was realizing that not everything should be AI-generated. If there is high-quality B-roll, crisp sound effects, or a powerful music track already available, a real director uses them to ground the project in reality.
Instead of forcing the AI to fix its own pacing or audio mistakes, I took full control of the director's chair:
The Core: Used Envato Elements as my main creative hub to source real B-roll, seamless transitions, and precise sound design.
The Human Touch: Cut out the uninspired AI shots, restructured the timing, and layered organic audio to build actual tension and emotion.

Main Assets: Envato Elements (Video Templates, Music, Sound Effects, Stock Footage)
Secondary Tools: CapCut / Canva
At the end of the day, AI might build the frame, but only a human creator can build the emotion. 🎬⚡

This 10-second cinematic dealership commercial was created using an AI image-to-video workflow, focusing on realistic automotive motion and premium storytelling.
The sequence features:
✨ A luxury showroom filled with flagship SUVs
🚘 The latest Mercedes-Benz G-Class and Toyota Land Cruiser
🔑 A realistic key fob unlock with authentic double headlight flash
🎥 Smooth cinematic camera movement
☀️ Natural lighting, reflections, and dealership atmosphere
🏁 A clean, realistic drive away shot worthy of a premium automotive brand
The goal was not just to generate a video, it was to create a commercial that feels believable, elegant, and ready for modern dealership marketing.
AI is opening new possibilities for automotive advertising, allowing brands to produce high end visual content faster while maintaining a cinematic look.
