Designing a food delivery app means designing for three completely different people at the same time.

The 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿 wants to find food fast, place an order, and track it without friction. The 𝗥𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿 needs clarity. Accept, pick up, deliver. No confusion mid-route. The 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁 needs to manage incoming orders without it becoming chaos during a lunch rush.

Three users. Three mental models. Three sets of priorities.

The UX research phase wasn't optional here, it was the foundation. Finding references for the customer side was straightforward. The restaurant and rider interfaces were the harder problem. Most apps don't show you their operator side.

Logo design is easily my favourite of any brand project. It's also incredibly important. It sets the tone for everything that comes after.

Every project goes through heavy iteration.

Moodboards, layouts, type, web. But the logo stage is where the identity finds its foundation.

Personally leaning towards the dark blue-green version. The cooler tone feels more aligned with trust and clarity especially for a “How We Work” section. The Dark brown version has a strong cinematic mood, but the blue-green helps the structure and content breathe a bit more to me.

4 attributes that shape a strong brand

A brand is more than a logo. It’s a system of recognizable details people notice before they even see the name.

1. Color A single accent color can become a brand signature.

2. Typography Fonts shape the personality of a brand.

3. Character Even personal brands develop a recognizable presence.

4. Patterns Small repeated details are often what make brands memorable.

And the most interesting part - strong brands are usually recognized through small repeatable details, not just a logo. Which of these attributes do you notice most often in strong brands?
