Playing around with a scroll-driven 3D animation in Framer.
The "3D" is actually just a video. The animation was made in Blender (not by me), then I exported it as a video and used a component that syncs the video playback with the scroll position.
Pretty cool way to get a 3D-like effect without embedding a real 3D scene.
The quality might look a bit off in places, but I think that's because the animation itself is pretty fast. I'll probably slow it down and see if that improves it.

I used the same setup for a 73-second Seedance film, with scroll controlling video playback. The tricky part was hiding the seams between generated clips so the scrub still felt continuous.

that’s a really cool approach. i’m starting to see more interesting ways to use video for these kinds of experiences instead of traditional 3D embeds. great work!

Yeah, that's what interests me too. You keep most of the visual depth without asking every visitor's device to render a live 3D scene.
