A 25-second sequence from Grey Matter Tales. It turns a psychology formula into a short visual story.
The scene opens like a documentary, with a researcher card. Then it moves into a classroom, where the equation draws itself in chalk and a motivation meter rises and falls with each term. It ends on a foggy street, where the word “far away” becomes a place, setting up the next chapter.
One sequence, three visual styles: • Documentary: paper textures, index cards, source tags • Chalkboard: hand-drawn write-on and animated icons • Cinematic: a perspective street with fog and lamp lights
What I did: script, research, voice-over, art direction and the animation. Built with a custom code-based animation pipeline (Python + Skia), developed with AI assistance. Check out Full Video: https://youtu.be/qtfsE1LDS7k?si=HOmHTWkJriJLYvYw #2danimation #motiongraphics
