your content doesn’t need more pressure. it needs a practice. that’s the conversation i’m leading in my upcoming live session for The Spill series with Creator Tea Talk a lot of creators and business owners are trying to fix their content by adding: 😵‍💫 more posts, more hooks, more trends, more pressure, or more “i just need to be consistent” but sometimes the real issue isn’t that your content is failing. many of those times the pressure is data. it might be telling you your content needs more: 🪴 clarity, trust, relevance, rhythm or relationship this session is for the creator, founder, or service provider who knows they have something valuable to say but content has started to feel heavier than it needs to. we’ll talk through how to stop treating content like a performance you have to survive and start building a content practice you can actually return to. if your strategy only works during an ideal week, it’s probably not a strategy yet. it’s a fantasy calendar. & we’re going to fix that. join me for the live session on THIS Thursday, August 27.

This is so true. Having a consistent practice makes way more sense than constantly putting pressure on yourself to post more.

rediscovered some old favorites of mine, my first real ventures into any sort of motion design. these were our primary advertisement visuals for a private, fiction-based writing community around this time some 18 months ago. these featured archetypes that were requested as connections for members onsite to spice up our plot, offering an insight into the depth everyone has hiding behind their curated grids & posts, even if only in seeing what apps they have running in the background of their device, what notifications are enabled.

i have so much more material in the arsenal where this style comes from, & given our community's focus on interpersonal dynamics' impacts thanks to pressures from both social & news media sources (in spite of their potential unreliability, exaggerations, etc.), i haven't found a design system since that encapsulated the sort of 'ERROR 404' / 'uncanny valley' energy that we've always gone for in our storytelling, but in spite of content warning tags for glitching & potential eyestrain? lashback from external sources was far too severe to keep this style up & running for as long as i'd have liked.

what are your thoughts? any favorites of the four shown below? good start to an unconventional little case study, perhaps?
