This is not the update I intended to post when I entered the challenge. I spent 6+ hours trying to build a simple expected value calculator in Bubble and could not get reliable results. The UI is frustrating and unintuitive, the expression builder makes even basic math difficult to implement correctly, the AI agent is unable to resolve most issues, and debugging provides almost no useful signal on what is actually broken (most of the troubleshooting happened in Claude). In stark contrast, I rebuilt the same app in another tool in about five minutes and it worked instantly (link: https://decision-gym-buddy.lovable.app/). As a PM, I understand how valuable direct feedback is, so I’m sharing this in good faith with the hope that the Bubble team recenters the product on a frictionless builder experience.
