Hello my Contra fam! πŸ‘‹ Yesterday I posted an A/B poll for Memorabl and most of you picked the more playful, vibrant direction.
But plot twist! The client picked the other one.
And today, after posting the full case study, I can finally tell you why πŸ‘€
Memorabl is made for people who can’t attend an event in person, including older family members (70% of the audience btw) who just want to open it, understand it, and feel part of the moment.
So the goal wasn’t to make it the most playful. It was to make it clear, elegant, and ridiculously easy to use.
Sometimes the flashier option wins the poll. But the quieter option wins for the actual audience.

The 70% older-family-member detail settles it for me. I'd put the quieter option in front of a few first-time users on their phones and see whether they can open the event without help, because that's the part a poll can't answer.

That’s actually what I did, and it was interesting to see how many older users found the quieter version much easier to navigate. Once they could move through it without stopping to figure things out, the decision made a lot more sense. Another plus point, many wanted to gift...
