Smart Refrigerator Monitoring & Alert Automation We developed an IoT-based monitoring and alert system to help a business prevent product spoilage, reduce manual checks, and improve operational efficiency. Previously, the client relied on manual refrigerator inspections, which made it difficult to detect temperature fluctuations or open doors in time. To solve this, we built an automated system using Sonoff sensors, EWeLink API, Node.js, and MongoDB. The system monitors temperature and door status every 30 seconds and automatically triggers Email/SMS alerts when unsafe conditions persist for 30 minutes. We also implemented a three-level alert escalation process and a web dashboard for real-time monitoring and device management. The Result: The client gained 24/7 monitoring, faster issue detection, fewer manual tasks, and better control over refrigeration operations, helping reduce spoilage risks and potential financial losses.
