Found these old sketches recently, from around 2015 during my time working with LifeEdited. They were one of several iterations for a mountain cabin on a steep, wooded site. The project eventually went in a different direction before it got built, but some of the early verions, including this one, always stuck with me. So 11 years later, I figured I'd look at it through a new lens. I went back to the original sketches, rebuilt the concept in 3D, and gave it the visuals I wish I'd been able to make back then.

Rebuilding an idea after eleven years with tools you didn't have back then is such a specific kind of nostalgia. Does the site instinct from 2015 still hold up now that you can render it properly, or would you place the cabin differently today?
