I surveyed 200+ Gen Z and Gen Alpha people with one question😭😂:
“If you were building a futuristic brand, what would you want people to notice first?”
I expected predictable answers.
I was wrong. 😭
76% said they’d go BIG on visual engagement.
→ High gradients.
→ 3D visuals.
→ Futuristic interfaces.
→ Bold, eye-catching design.
Basically, if we’re going to live in space in 2040, the brand should probably look like it belongs there too.😂
22% went in a completely different direction.
They still imagined familiar businesses, cafés, coffee shops, lifestyle brands, just with a futuristic twist.
AND THEN THEREE WAS THEE 2%
This tiny group said:
“Why not a space café?”
Not just space-themed branding.
An actual café designed like a spacecraft.
→ 3D interiors.
→ Robots serving food.
→ The whole experience built around the idea that you’re eating somewhere in space.
And then I realised something hilarious.
The robots serving the food?
Humans.
Actual humans dressed as robots. 😂
For some reason, THAT was the answer I couldn't stop thinking about.
Not because it was the most realistic.
Because someone actually thought:
“If the future looks like this… why not build the experience too?”
And honestly, I love how far some people are willing to take an idea.
The question started with branding.
The answers somehow ended with humans pretending to be robots in a space café.
I wasn't prepared for that. 😭
Note: This visual isn’t based on any existing brand. It’s a fictional concept I created to visualize the kind of futuristic design people described in my survey and see if it matches what others imagine as “the future.”
