Most of my work this year has been on the same problem from two ends.
The backend end: reporting pipelines. Raw exports — Excel files, CSVs,
database dumps — going in, and clean formatted reports coming out. One
processes around 379,000 transaction records into the daily reports three
departments actually depend on. Another replaced a two-day manual
allocation process with a script that finishes in minutes.
The frontend end: making that output usable. A pipeline that produces a
perfect file nobody opens hasn't solved anything. So the same work shows
up as interfaces — Next.js, React, TypeScript — where an ops person can
see what happened, filter it, and act on it without asking a developer.
Those two things aren't separate jobs. Data that nobody can see is just
storage, and a dashboard with no pipeline behind it is a mockup.
Currently building both. Python and Pandas on one side, Next.js and
React on the other.

Brand system and marketing site for an AI front desk platform. Logo, color and type system in Figma, built out across 5-10 pages in Framer.
Building a full brand and type system across 5-10 pages before the product has any name recognition yet is a bigger bet than most AI startups make this early. Was that scope client-driven, or did you push for it because a single landing page wasn't going to sell the positioning?
I went back to the merchant onboarding component and added a dark theme, but I didn’t want to just start throwing dark: classes everywhere. So I moved the colors, type, shadows, states, etc. into semantic design tokens, kept the light theme looking exactly the same, and added a simple Light / Dark switcher that follows your system theme on first load.
The theme switch itself was actually the easy part. Most of the time went into making sure there was no weird flash on load, the transition didn’t mess with the existing Motion animations, and things like reduced motion, focus states, contrast, and the dropdown still worked properly.
