3 details I love about the Blackton Grange build (Figma)
Blackton Grange is a wedding venue and holiday home in the North Pennines. I designed their website in Figma with a romantic, countryside feel and big photography.
• Desktop layouts at 1440px with a consistent type scale, colours and components
• Clear page hierarchy and calls to action on every section
• The Farm House and communal spaces
Small decisions like these are what make a site feel premium a year after launch.
Tools: Figma (design, components, auto layout and prototyping)
Design systems for small sites: worth it, or overkill?

The romantic countryside feel really comes through, especially that warm parchment tone in the presentation. Calls to action on every section is the detail most venue sites forget, and it is usually the one that actually fills the booking calendar. On your design systems...
Two free builds, for freelancers or designers.
My Contra profile has no reviews yet, and I'd rather earn the first ones with real work. So I'll build your Figma design as a live site, or make you a portfolio site. One page, works on phone and desktop, live within 3 days of the day we start. The code is yours, and I'll hand it over so you can host it anywhere.
The first two that fit get one: one page, with the design or the content ready.
No strings attached. When it's live, I'll ask you both for an honest review on my profile, good or bad. Just say in the review that the build was free. You keep the site either way.
Comment with a link to your Figma file or your current site, or message me if it's private. It all happens in writing, here on Contra. No calls.
Got a Figma page that never made it online?
Respect for earning the first reviews with real work instead of buying them or begging friends. Asking for an honest review, good or bad, is the kind of confidence that tells people the build will be good. The SaaS marketing page and matching design system file are solid proof...
3 details I love about the SmartWeave build (Figma)
SmartWeave is a regenerative medicine company building personalized, biocompatible scaffolds for heart, women’s health and orthopedic care. I designed the full website in Figma with a dark, scientific look.
• Desktop layouts at 1440px with a consistent type scale, colours and components
• Clear page hierarchy and calls to action on every section
• Product pages: Cardioweave, Heraweave and Orthoweave

If you're planning a new site or a redesign, my inbox is open.
Small decisions like these are what make a site feel premium a year after launch is a line worth keeping. It is so true, nobody remembers the hero animation, they remember whether the site still feels cared for. On your design systems question, worth it every time for me, even a...
