Here’s something I drew last month. Should I animate it too?

A friend from Impact Hub Berlin sent me a call out by Fine Acts, seeking illustrations on the topic of how the climate crisis disproportionately impacts women and girls. Reading about the multitude of knock-on effects of climate issues, I was inspired to make this illustration and submit it.

According to the UN, when heatwaves, floods, storms, or prolonged environmental stress occur, the additional work required to cope most often falls on women.

In my drawing, the mother figure of the household is trying to keep her family home intact. The flood is already here, but there’s also a storm approaching, so the future is uncertain. Who knows how long she can hold on? Her dependents in the house don’t appear to notice the great burden she has to bear.

The project focused on creating a cohesive visual identity that could communicate the brand’s adventurous spirit while supporting a healthy, sustainable, and active lifestyle. I developed the visual identity across key brand touchpoints, including the logo, color palette, iconography, imagery style, and brand applications. The goal was to create a flexible and distinctive system that could translate consistently across both digital and physical experiences.
