The Concept: A cinematic, teal-and-orange midnight "heist" that ends with a relatable twist—the highly-skilled thief is just a guy sneaking into his fridge for a slice of chocolate cake! 🍰

The dust behind a motorcycle on a dirt road is the same dust that drifts across Mars and maybe the same dust we're all made of.

I've never edited a video in my life. I build software for a living. But I found Renoise, saw this challenge, and as someone who can't resist one, I treated it the only way I knew how: as a problem to solve, shot by shot. 17 scenes, one storyboard, a lot of trial and error from a cornfield on Earth to the red plains of Mars.

I didn't know how to make a film. So I just kept asking: what does this feel like? And chased that frame by frame.
