Ravex — Plug n play chat system for Node.js
I built Ravex to solve a simple problem: adding real-time chat to a Node.js server should not require wiring up socket.io from scratch every time.
Ravex wraps socket.io and gives you a complete chat system — rooms, presence, typing indicators, reactions, rate limiting, and more — that attaches to any server in minutes.
What I built:
• @ravex/server — chat engine that works with Express, Koa, Fastify, Hono, NestJS, or plain http
• @ravex/client — a fully typed frontend client library
• 23 integration tests using real servers and real clients
• Full documentation with API reference
