Independent supplier research for a US e-commerce seller exploring women’s handbags through a dropshipping model.
The research focused on identifying suppliers that could realistically support direct-to-customer fulfillment in the United States without the seller holding inventory.
Suppliers were compared across key practical criteria including product range, fulfillment model, inventory location, MOQ, shipping times, return policies, sample availability, pricing information where available, and e-commerce integrations.
The final output provided a focused supplier shortlist, side-by-side comparison, key limitations and risks, and recommendations on which options appeared most worth contacting and testing.

We Know Where to Sell. But How Do We Decide What to Sell?
Amazon, Shopify, eBay — the infrastructure for selling online is already there.
But choosing the right product is a different challenge.
A promising trend doesn't necessarily mean a profitable opportunity. Strong demand doesn't guarantee room for another seller. And finding a supplier doesn't mean finding one you can build a reliable business around.
That's why we approach e-commerce research through three practical questions:
1. Can the product actually be sourced?
Identifying credible suppliers, examining fulfillment options, shipping conditions, returns, and operational constraints.
2. Is there a real market opportunity?
Researching demand signals, competitors, pricing, customer needs, and possible market positioning.
3. Does the opportunity survive independent validation?
Challenging the original assumptions, identifying weaknesses, and separating supported conclusions from unanswered questions.
The goal isn't to produce another list of trending products.
It's to help entrepreneurs make better decisions before committing significant time, money, and resources.
Sometimes research confirms an opportunity. Sometimes it reveals a better direction. And sometimes the most valuable outcome is knowing when not to proceed.
Good research doesn't eliminate uncertainty. It helps you decide which opportunities deserve the next step.
