I'm excited to share my submission for the Contra × Squarespace – Make It Real Challenge.
For this project, I created The Void, a concept website for an AI-powered game art studio focused on remastering characters, environments, and worlds for modern hardware.
My goal wasn't just to create something visually impressive. It was to prove what's possible when every design decision has a purpose.
The entire website was built 100% inside Squarespace using its native tools and the new Finish Layer features, without a single line of custom CSS or JavaScript.
Throughout the site, I leaned heavily into:
•Responsive Stacks for complex layouts
•Block Transforms to create layered, asymmetrical compositions
•Scroll, hover, cursor-follow, and appear animations to guide the user through the experience
•Purposeful motion that enhances storytelling instead of distracting from it
One philosophy drove every decision:
Wow with intent.
Every animation, transition, and interaction exists to support the content, strengthen the brand, and improve the user experience, not simply because it looks cool.
I'm incredibly proud of what can be accomplished using Squarespace's native design tools alone, and I hope this project inspires other designers to explore just how powerful the platform has become.

I love it! Goated
There's a $50,000 design challenge running on Contra right now, and most people are misreading the brief. Let me fix that with my own entry.
The Envato challenge isn't about make something with stock and post it, It's a workflow challenge. They want to watch you take Envato's library into a real project, in whatever tool you work in, and show the decisions you made along the way. The walkthrough is the entry. The final asset is just the evidence.
So here's mine: Marigold°, a brand identity for a summer general store that doesn't exist. Nighty and Swash Daisy for the type, Elements photography setting the visual standard, paper, grain and Envato Audio in the final work.
I curated stock into a standard before generating a single image, then rejected every AI generation that didn't belong and put it together.
I mean, $12K first prize, five more $5K categories, and joining gets you a free month of Envato's Plus plan with unlimited downloads and 100 AI generations. Entries close Saturday night PDT.

Project Description
This project is a professional medical writing website built on Squarespace, designed specifically for pharmaceutical companies and clinical teams. Drawing on over 20 years of pharmacy experience and 3 years dedicated to medical writing, the site communicates scientific precision and regulatory compliance through clean typography, a calm color palette, and clear service positioning. It includes a homepage, a services page featuring four core offerings — Clinical Study Reports, Regulatory Submission Documents, Patient Education Materials, and Medical & Scientific Content — an about page highlighting relevant certifications in Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacovigilance, an educational resources section, and a contact page for consultation requests.
How Finish Layer tools were used
I used Squarespace's built-in design tools to customize the layout, typography, and color palette across the site, creating a cohesive, professional look tailored to a pharma and healthcare audience. The design focuses on clarity and trust — key priorities for the target audience of pharmaceutical companies and clinical teams.
