🔥 New addition to my portfolio 🔥
Previously I had an SVG mask of my logo in the center with my showreel behind it, but this had a couple of issues. So yesterday I pushed it further and I created a 3D variation, video playing inside it, glass refraction and it's even more beautiful when you click into it.

Going from an SVG mask to a full 3D variation with glass refraction is a big jump in complexity for a logo treatment. What was the hardest part to get right, the refraction itself or making sure the showreel still reads clearly behind it?

Yeah, built with react-three-fiber since I'm using Next.js
React-three-fiber inside a Next.js app usually means the canvas gets dynamically imported with SSR off, otherwise the first paint pays for a scene that only shows up after hydration. Glass is the other cost. Transmission in three.js renders the scene into its own buffer, so a...
The video is pulled via Mux, so that handles the offset.

🌕 HITODAMA — The lake is silent.
An interactive psychological horror experience inspired by Japanese folklore. You play as a lone ferryman crossing mysterious waters where drifting fog, strange shadows, and the unknown turn a quiet journey into something unsettling.
What I built:
- A cinematic, moonlit 3D lake environment.
- A custom WGSL fog shader running on Rive's GPU Canvas.
- An interactive Haunt slider that lets you intensify the atmosphere.
- Rive-powered effects built using the Rive CLI, Rive Markup Language, Luau scripting, and data binding.
The lake environment was the foundation. For the @Rive Halloween Challenge, I wanted to push it further by creating a supernatural layer that responds to the player instead of remaining a static visual effect.
This project was an exploration of how code, shaders, and interactive design can turn an atmospheric scene into an experience.
