What I built
I created “The Last Dragon Hunt,” a 30-second cinematic fantasy film about a group of soldiers entering a dark forest to hunt a massive dragon.
The story starts with the soldiers moving carefully through the forest before a huge dragon suddenly appears and chases them. One soldier decides to stand his ground and face it, but just as he is about to attack, he realizes something is wrong.
A second, much larger dragon appears behind them. The first dragon then moves between the soldiers and the larger creature, revealing that it was never trying to attack them it was protecting them.
Why I built it
I wanted to experiment with how far Seedance 2.5 could push a short story when everything happens as one continuous shot. Instead of using multiple cuts, I wanted the camera to follow the soldiers naturally through the forest while the action, characters, and dragons developed around them.
I also wanted the film to have a simple story that could be understood quickly, but still end with a twist. The idea was to combine fantasy, war, suspense, and cinematic creature animation into one short experience.
The main challenge was keeping the scene feeling continuous while showing the scale and movement of two different dragons. I focused on camera continuity, character consistency, atmosphere, and timing to make the final reveal feel natural.
The result is a short film built around one simple question:
What if the dragon you thought was your enemy was actually protecting you?
