In India, we celebrate with light. Every occasion, big or small, a wedding, a festival, a new shop, a street during a temple procession, gets strung with serial lights. Bulbs draped over doorways and rooftops, glowing into the night. It's been part of how we mark joy for as long as I can remember.
So to celebrate this Config Makeathon, I built something in that same spirit Serial Lights: a tool for painting with light.
You draw strings of bulbs onto a dark board, give each strand a rhythm, chase, twinkle, breathe and then flip the switch and watch the whole thing come alive, glowing like a celebration.
I didn't want it to feel like a generic drawing app. The whole thing is built around one idea: the bulbs should feel real. Every bulb is true vector geometry, evenly spaced along the curve you draw, lit and glowing in code. There are hand-built templates to start from, a festival fountain that actually flows, an auto-rickshaw strung in lights, all editable, all animatable. Draw it, light it, make it yours.
