Same 2D scene.
Two directions.
One stays clean and minimal.
The other adds glow, blur and extra effects.
At first the FX version felt like an obvious upgrade…
but now I’m wondering if it actually improves the scene or just makes
it busier.
Which one works better - and why?

Can you explain why?
to me FX On just hits different, the blur adds that 3D depth which makes it feel way more premium
and also if you probably animate it, those soft gradients would look sick moving in the background

Great question! I chose FX On because the glow and blur transitions the scene from a flat graphic into a high-fidelity experience.
By adding those extra layers, you're building more Visual Trust the scene feels 'finished' and professional rather than just an asset in progress....
fx off for me, the cleaner version reads better. less is more here
Visual effects should elevate the message not compete with it.

It depends on what the use case is, both of these options have legit arguments going for them
A for thinking/loading state
B for celebratory state
Motion Graphics for the CTRL+SHIFT's Brand Identity.
Reflecting the primary essence of the ctrl+shift's symbol , the goal was to depict the pulsing neutrons in motion, through a spinning crt 2d brain. Hence, resembling the ideas generations as part of the creative intelligence.
I custom built the brain model in Omma then brought it to life with further ehancements in Unicorn Studio.
