I reimagined Olive Forbes Sherman’s 1901 Vase from The Metropolitan Museum of Art as a futuristic archaeological artifact. I kept the vase’s elegant curved silhouette and organic movement, but transformed it into a vessel from a lost future civilization, containing extinct bioluminescent botanical life and subtle impossible technology. I placed it in a futuristic museum conservation chamber to create a believable connection between historical craftsmanship, science, and speculative future archaeology.
