OFF AIR, a horror escape room you play before you book
OFF AIR is a concept escape room on New York's Lower East Side, and the website starts the story before the visit. Officer Matthew followed a tip into an old house and never came out. Visitors follow him in on a live map of the house and look inside four rooms: the Witch, the Library, the Ward and the Butcher. Each room starts a 25-second clock, and when it runs out, the only way to get him out is to book.
Booking takes under a minute: pick a day and a slot, set the number of players and watch the price update, add your details, and get your case file with the room's first clue. Full slots offer a waitlist, and the owner sees every booking in their own dashboard.

a 25 second clock and the only way to save him is booking, that's evil

Making the booking part of the story is such a clever hook. Would the owner dashboard show which room people peeked into before they booked? That'd be gold for them.

Letting visitors play part of the story on a live map before they even book is a brilliant way to sell an escape room. OFF AIR feels like an experience, not just a booking page.
