Candidate portal for an AI-powered Workforce platform
BuildWithin — Candidate Portal is the full redesign of the candidate experience inside BuildWithin's transformation into an AI-powered Workforce platform. The original platform had been built for a different market; we evolved it so candidates, Talent Managers, Case Managers, Administrators, and Super Admins could all operate within the same ecosystem, each with completely different needs. The most critical process was eligibility validation: traditionally manual, it required candidates to upload multiple documents while administrators reviewed each one for category, expiration, signatures, profile match, and image quality — often re-reviewing the same document valid across several categories. As Lead Product Designer I led the design end to end: defined the candidate experience, designed the core flows, and continuously validated decisions alongside Product, the client, and BuildWithin's CEO, aiming to automate document validation, cut review time, avoid duplicates, and improve the candidate experience without losing the platform's ability to scale across different Workforce organizations.

I created this concept from a personal experience: when a conversation or situation hurts or unsettles me, I often replay it again and again (sometimes I can't even sleep), thinking about what happened or what I should have said or done differently.
🔮 How I used Flowstep
While working in Flowstep, I created a set of design guidelines and continuously refined them to keep the experience consistent across typography, color, spacing, tone, and interaction. I used prompting for larger changes and refined the smaller details manually, including images, texts, and button colors.
🚀 What I liked the most
I especially liked the automatic screen connections, clickable prototyping, and additional interaction states generated by Flowstep.

P.S. The prototype currently opens on the second screen instead of the intended first screen. The first screen was created later in the workflow, and I could not find a way to redefine the starting point. Flowstep team, I would really appreciate your advice on this.

Practice a difficult conversation before you actually have it. We designed a virtual character that feels like the person you are about to talk to.
The profile screen pulls from Slack, Notion, Workday, email, and calendar to build a picture of how Jeremy communicates, what drives him, and how he tends to respond under pressure.
The design choice was to make the profile feel like a person. Each scenario comes with a goal and the leadership skills it targets, communication, ownership, and decision confidence. When you walk into the real conversation, you have already had a trial run.

So, I've always had this issue: I don't know what to give my friends that they'll genuinely like. I also never know what to say when people ask what to give me.
The problem isn't the gifts themselves: it's the loss of a nice surprise. Wishlists take the surprise away, and saving my own gift ideas in Excel sheets takes it away too. I didn't know how to keep track. So, I built Fondly.
It sends you random suggestions: it could be a friend asking, or the app just trying to get your vibe. You never know! You can also add gifts for yourself or a friend into Vaults. Vaults remain unseen, only when it's for someone else do you get to use it to find the perfect gift.
It's basically using a recommendation algorithm, but instead of downright selling things, it's about surprises! A surprise could be bought, made by hand, or just spending time together. It preserves that moment of giving someone exactly what they want, and that shared, happy surprise.
The workflow:
Brainstorm with ChatGPT and Claude > Despair > Design with Canva > First Draft > Iteration > Find out I could have edited manually instead of wasting my messages > Final Draft!
