Didn't have much time to make something complex so I made something silly with Rive scripting. Created these Screaming Noodles based on a weird drawing I made a few months ago. Noodle rig & eyes follow the mouse cursor(scripted), added in some sounds from the library as well. Rive scripting really made an already powerful tool 10x more powerful, I can't wait to keep exploring new use cases and excited to see what other people brew up with these new possibilities!

I thought I'd share a short breakdown exploring the systems and ideas behind the project so far!
Very cool breakdown 👌 Always interesting seeing how different people structure interaction systems in Rive.
Built the classic Snake game entirely inside Rive using scripting and data binding.
This was an experiment pushing Rive beyond animation into interactive systems.
Movement, food spawning, and game state are all driven by Lua while the UI stays synced through a ViewModel.
Still polishing the web export, but the core gameplay is working and it was a fun challenge to build.

Very cool exploration 👏 Pushing Rive into interactive systems opens interesting UX possibilities. The ViewModel sync approach is especially intriguing.
This is a shameless re-submission, as I already submitted this whack-a-mole mini game for the Rive data binding challenge. But since this one is specifically about games I thought: 'what the heck, why not?'
