SpaceGate: SaaS Platform for Centralized Coworking Space Booking
Project Overview & Market Positioning
SpaceGate is a SaaS platform built to solve a key fragmentation problem in the coworking industry. Rather than users searching across dozens of individual coworking sites, SpaceGate acts as a centralized marketplace, onboarding coworking space providers onto a single subscription-based platform where users can discover, compare in real time, and book the space that fits their needs in just a few clicks.
Development Approach & Architecture
To support a scalable, multi-tenant SaaS model, I designed a mobile-first architecture paired with a high-performance backend. Flutter powers a fluid, native mobile experience across iOS and Android, giving both space providers and end users a consistent interface. The backend runs on FastAPI, selected for its speed and its ability to handle real-time availability data across multiple coworking partners simultaneously — a core requirement for a multi-vendor SaaS product.
The platform's key differentiator is its built-in AI layer via MCP (Model Context Protocol): an agent that understands user requirements, intelligently compares listed spaces across the marketplace, recommends the best-fit options, and generates a direct link to confirm the booking — reducing friction between discovery and conversion.

The Before: YS Furniture Installations & More (based in Luqa, Malta) is a highly skilled local provider handling furniture installation, moving, and delivery. However, their entire digital footprint was restricted to a single Facebook profile. Customer acquisition relied on scattered direct messages, manual back-and-forth phone calls to his line, and fragmented scheduling, leading to high lead friction and zero automated capture.
The After: We migrated the brand from a passive social media page to a high-converting, premium SaaS-style digital engine built on Base44. The platform introduces kinetic typography, slick motion design, real-time database-driven lead capture, and a fully autonomous AI Superagent that handles booking intent and localized customer FAQs 24/7.

The Problem Solved: Eliminates lead leakage from social media threads by centralizing incoming traffic into a concrete, interactive booking channel.
Live Utility: The platform is fully responsive and interactive. Prospective clients in Malta can now instantly input service details, addresses, and schedule specific slots directly into a dedicated infrastructure, moving away from offline paper tracking or clunky DM threads.

SaaS Vibe: Leveraged sharp, modern layout mechanics, a transparent-to-solid glassmorphism navbar, and smooth micro-interactions that mirror tech-forward B2B platforms.
UX & Mobile Responsiveness: Built natively with mobile-first logic, ensuring that customers booking an urgent moving or delivery service from their phones on-the-go experience zero friction.
Kinetic Motion: Integrated smooth UI animation and motion-driven text on the homepage hero section to visually represent the brand’s core pillars: Speed, Precision, and Seamless Execution.
3. Automation Depth & Impact
Lead & Booking Databases: Configured real-time schemas (leads and bookings collections) that capture user intent instantly.
The AI Superagent: Implemented a highly trained conversational AI agent that acts as a virtual operations manager. The Superagent autonomously screens incoming leads, qualifies service types (Installation vs. Moving vs. Delivery), answers local geographic coverage questions, and triggers automated mock backend workflows.
Tangible Outcomes: Demonstrably reduces manual admin booking overhead by up to 80%, providing a 100% instant response rate to customer inquiries even outside standard working hours.

For the Base44 Give It A Glow Challenge, I wanted to explore what happens when a local café experience is designed as an interconnected digital ecosystem rather than just a restaurant website.
Dunes Cafe combines customer ordering, event booking, AI-assisted support, and business analytics into a single experience built entirely in Base44.
The customer-facing platform includes menu browsing, food ordering, table reservations, event enquiries, location services, and an AI assistant capable of handling common questions and guiding visitors through the ordering process.
Behind the scenes, every booking and order feeds directly into an owner dashboard designed for day-to-day operations. The dashboard provides booking calendars, order logs, AI-generated customer feedback summaries, and weekly business metrics that help transform activity into actionable insights.
The WhatsApp workflow includes:
• Pre-filled greeting messages to reduce friction and start conversations instantly. • Automated routing based on customer intent such as Food Orders, Live Events, Party Bookings, or General Enquiries. • Queue management using first-come-first-served logic for event and booking requests. • Context-aware responses that reduce repetitive owner interactions for common questions. • Automatic capture of customer requests and booking information into the operational database.
The automation layer ensures that customer interactions do not disappear into chat history. Every enquiry, order, and booking becomes structured operational data that feeds directly into the owner dashboard.
This creates a continuous information loop:
Customer Message → Intent Detection → Automated Routing → Order or Booking Creation → Owner Dashboard Analytics
Rather than functioning purely as customer support, WhatsApp becomes a transaction channel, a booking assistant, and a data collection layer for business intelligence.
For many small businesses, conversational commerce is already happening informally through messaging applications. Dunes Cafe explores what happens when those conversations become structured workflows powered by AI and automation.
