With a tablet in one paw, a stylus in the other, and a backpack full of creative tools, he reminds us that creativity is not about getting it perfect the first time. It’s about exploring, remixing, learning, and having the courage to keep making.

Name: Crafty the Capybara
Role: Creative Companion
Personality: Calm, curious, optimistic, encouraging, playful, and quietly wise.
Crafty is the world’s most curious capybara, built to make creativity feel less intimidating and more joyful. He helps creators slow down, explore ideas, and keep going when the blank page feels too big.
Whether he appears as a backpack, coffee mug, creative kit packaging, or an animated loop, Crafty always brings the same message: stay curious, keep creating, and let every idea grow.

Project Summary
This project builds Crafty as a complete mascot system with a custom name-logo, character board, turnaround, expressions, packaging, merch, and motion potential for Crafty. Each application is designed to prove Crafty can travel across formats while staying unmistakably himself... warm, creative, approachable, and full of wonder!

Going all-blue on a burger brand is the bold call here — it gets you out of the red-and-yellow crowd, but blue is the one colour that doesn't do appetite work for free. Is the mascot meant to carry that warmth, or are you leaning on the food photography for it?

I am gathering cool references for my own work as a Motion Designer, and this one has been on my radar since a while.
Base 44 it's a great example of great motion and storytelling. i think their branding offers a lot of possibilities to build engaging visuals. It is also fun to watch, mixing video and design with a really goos sound.
