There is a concept I learned called the “spark of existence.” It is like the primer that comes before the creation of something. That is exactly how I felt when I saw the photos my friend Cecília took for the Bazar. This is a project I worked on during my scarce free time and, even though there was no practical need for it to exist — meaning no client, user, market or anything like that — I still made the effort to bring it to life.
Putting philosophy aside, I do not enjoy working on e-commerce, but when I looked at those photos, they became the trigger for an authentic desire to create something from them. And here is the result of that spark, not by request, but by a personal need to create.
