Every week I see e commerce teams scrambling to pull order data, copy it into spreadsheets and send a summary email. The process is repetitive, prone to copy errors and often misses the deadline when a manager needs to make a quick decision. I built a three step pipeline that runs on a schedule, calculates the previous week dates, calls the Magento 2 API and writes a clean summary into a Google Sheet.
The workflow uses a code node to compute week boundaries, then an HTTP request node to fetch orders. I set the request node to continue on error so a single timeout does not stop the whole run. After the data arrives, a small JavaScript block creates totals and a product breakdown. The results are written to Google Sheets with built in retry logic that respects the Google API quota. Finally an email node sends the sheet link and a short report to the manager inbox. All nodes include explicit error handling and rate limit checks to keep the pipeline reliable.
In real use the automation saves a team of three analysts roughly ten hours each month and eliminates manual entry mistakes. The data arrives on time, every time, and the manager can act on fresh numbers. What weekly metrics do you track and how do you protect your API calls from rate limit spikes?

Nice approach. The part I like most is the error handling — that’s usually what separates a demo workflow from something you can actually trust in production.
