A minimal, video-first website for a commercial production studio.
The goal was simple: keep the experience clean and let the work do most of the talking.
A few things behind the build:
• Custom video player with tailored controls
• Video CDN setup for faster loading and smoother playback
• Lightweight, minimal interface
• Responsive layouts across desktop and mobile
• Subtle interactions without distracting from the content
• Flexible structure for new projects and case studies
The win here is placement. A gooey moment on the hero adds character, the same effect on a data table or form would just tax the task. Putting it where the eye is already resting is what makes it read as personality instead of noise.
30+ pages, 3 weeks, and honestly one of my favorite projects in a while.
I'd been wanting to design something more tech-driven for a long time, and Gryd, a platform turning construction permit data into intelligence for insurers, lenders, and real estate teams, was exactly that.
Wireframes first, then UI across every page, fully responsive, with animation on the key screens, all built inside the brand the client had already set.
