I make websites, and for years people reached me by email. Then I put a live chat I built on my own site, and I'm not going back.
It's early, but more people write in the chat than ever emailed me. I know who I'm talking to before I reply: the page they're on, how they found me, whether they've written before. And it's livelier than email ever was. Short messages, quick answers, a photo when words don't do it.
The chat lands in my Telegram. Each visitor gets their own topic in a group, whoever's free replies from their phone, and the answer shows up on the site in seconds. The visitor keeps reading the page they were on and chats right there.
It works on any site with one script tag, and there's a plugin for Framer. Everyone in the group can answer. $12 a month per site, or $10 paid yearly, and the first seven days are free.

Just shipped a site for TruTerms Consultancy, a legal consultancy in Dubai that acts as a part-time in-house legal team for founders.
The idea I kept coming back to: what if the website looked like the thing they sell? So it reads like a contract. Numbered sections, the retainer written up as Schedule A, and each clause shows the actual legalese first, then what it means in one normal sentence.
The fun part was the compass. It starts in the hero, then travels with you down the page as you scroll, landing in a different spot in each section. Mapping out where it goes and when took a lot of back and forth, but it's the bit I'm happiest with.
Every project teaches me something I didn't know going in, and this one was no different. Already itching to start the next one and push it a bit further.
Numbered clauses for a legal site is a smart idea, and the serif fits it well.
