Day 5 of 90: Proof beats promises. 🔥
One thing I’m learning quickly on Contra:
Clients don’t need another developer telling them, “I can do this.”
They need a reason to believe it.
So today I focused on presenting my work differently.
Less:
“I have experience with React, Node.js and AI.”
More:
“Here’s a similar problem I solved, what I owned, and how I approached it.”
Your portfolio should not just show what you built.
It should reduce the client’s uncertainty about hiring you.
That is the shift I’m working on.

Why I Built It
Scratching my own itch: As a freelance AR and game dev, I get a lot of casual project requests. Writing proposals from scratch for every single one eats up hours of unbillable time.
Skipping the blank page: I wanted a tool that bridges the gap between a quick, disorganized email and a confident, ready-to-send pitch.
No more lost emails: Keeping track of revision requests in long email chains is a mess. I needed a way to keep all client comments permanently attached to the actual proposal.
The Contra Challenge: I wanted to test what I could pull off with no-code tools and see how fast I could launch a real, usable product without writing traditional web code.

This is my first day on Contra.
I’m a multidisciplinary designer working across branding, web, product UI & social media. Just published my first project here and I’m slowly building out the rest of my profile.
For those who’ve been on Contra for a while, what actually helped you land your first client here?
What moved the needle for me was narrowing the profile to the two or three things I actually want to be hired for, then showing the process behind one project instead of a wall of finished shots. Clients hire the thinking. Commenting here daily also warms people up long before any DM lands. Welcome aboard.
Contra & Bubble.io Challenge
SAME is an interactive global platform built around one simple idea: every day, everyone gets the same question.
I built this project to explore a different way for people to connect online. Instead of focusing on profiles, popularity, or social status, SAME focuses on perspectives. Users can answer the daily question in their own words, optionally add a photo, and become part of a growing collection of responses from around the world.
The core experience is built around exploring those perspectives. Users can interact with the world, select different countries, browse responses from each location, and compare how people in different parts of the world answered the exact same question.
The goal of SAME is to encourage curiosity and human connection. We often see other countries through news, statistics, or stereotypes, but a simple personal answer can create a much more human connection. Someone living thousands of kilometers away may have a completely different experience — or surprisingly similar thoughts and feelings.
Over time, each new question adds another layer to the project. Previous questions and responses remain available, creating a growing collection of perspectives captured across different moments.
Every answer is just one small piece — one thought, one feeling, one moment. But together, those pieces create something bigger: a picture of the world through the people who live in it.
