I’m calling it The Echoes — Echoes of Temple Lane.
Rather than building another conventional museum website, I’m exploring an immersive digital exhibition for the Irish Rock ’n’ Roll Museum and Temple Lane Studios—one that feels less like browsing pages and more like moving through a living archive.
The current wireframe begins outside the red Temple Lane building before pulling the visitor into a cinematic sequence of interactive memory rooms. Historical photographs, instruments, rehearsal spaces, recording equipment, performances, and stories reveal themselves gradually through motion, light, sound, and film-exposure effects.
One of the central feature ideas is the Recovered Photograph system.
As a visitor enters each room, an archival image slowly develops from darkness, accompanied by its story and context. It then dissolves back into the exhibition as the visitor moves forward. The goal is to make every photograph feel discovered rather than simply displayed.
The first flow currently includes:
* A cinematic entrance into Temple Lane
* Interactive museum memory rooms
* Historical photographs revealed through film-style effects
* A black-and-white record archive
* The Last Echo, a closing exhibition sequence
* A personal performance spotlight from my own time rehearsing and playing there
* A future guest submission feature where visitors can leave their own memory or “echo” ###################################
This is still an early concept prototype, but the direction is becoming clear:
Turn the museum’s history into an experience that can be entered, explored, remembered, and eventually contributed to.
Later phases can connect the exhibition to museum tickets, rehearsal-room reservations, studio bookings, artist profiles, equipment requests, and visitor-generated stories.
Built with Base44 as an independent concept for a place that has been part of my own musical history since 2018.
