Custom API Integration for Emails
Built a custom API connection and backend workflow to support mass email operations and connect email-related processes more cleanly with HubSpot. The result was a more reliable, scalable system with fewer manual steps between CRM activity and backend email workflows.
Built a custom API connection and backend workflow to support mass email operations and connect email-related processes more cleanly with HubSpot. This project replaced disconnected backend processes and manual coordination with a more reliable, scalable system that created a cleaner link between CRM activity and operational email workflows.
I designed and implemented the integration layer using API-driven logic, backend automation, and workflow triggers to reduce manual work and improve consistency across email-related operations. The solution connected HubSpot with surrounding backend systems, automated actions that previously required manual intervention, and made large-scale email workflows easier to manage and maintain.
Tech used: HubSpot, APIs, Python, Node.js, Webhooks, Backend Automation, Email Systems.

When API response times start climbing, the first instinct is often to add more resources, introduce caching, or start rewriting code.
But a slow API doesn’t always mean a slow application.
The bottleneck could be hiding almost anywhere:

And sometimes adding Redis, more workers, or additional infrastructure only hides the real problem instead of solving it.
That’s why I prefer a simple principle: 𝐌𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭. 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝.
In production backend engineering, performance optimization should be driven by evidence, not assumptions.
