If you work in web design or development, you already know this.
The moment a file is named:
final-homepage-v3-LAST-FINAL-revised-2
โฆyou know the project is entering a dangerous phase. ๐
A client says:
โEverything looks perfect. Just one last tiny adjustment.โ
Then suddenly:
โ The headline changes
โ The image changes
โ The CTA changes
โ The mobile layout needs โa little tweakโ
โ Someone on the team has a new idea
โ And the โfinal versionโ quietly becomes Version 19
But Iโve stopped seeing revisions as the annoying part of the process.
Sometimes that extra round is where the project becomes noticeably better.
A stronger headline.
A cleaner layout.
A better user flow.
One detail nobody noticed earlier.
Good work usually isnโt created in one perfect attempt.
It gets reviewed, questioned, refined, tested, and improved.
So today, Iโm raising a virtual coffee to everyone currently working on their:
โFINAL_final_REAL-final-v7.โ โ๐
Youโre almost there.
Probably.
Whatโs the highest version number youโve ever reached on a project?

Clean mobile execution Dario! ๐ฑ Love how bold DOVV's identity stays even on small screens. "WE BUILD SITES THAT MOVE PEOPLE" hits hard, and those sticky note cards in the middle for Discovery / Design / Framer Build / Launch are such a fun, scannable touch. That SAY HELLO page is super minimal and direct. Great Framer build!
Designed Oculus, a crypto dashboard where every tile is double-outlined, flat and unapologetically colorful.
Warm paper canvas, ink black anchors, mono micro-type, and an eye that follows your cursor.
Built with GSAP + Framer Motion. Light mode only, on purpose.

Badge Placement: Consistency or Visual Balance?
Even a small indicator can change how the entire interface feels
Adaptive Position
The badge placement changes depending on the iconโs shape and available space. The result feels more visually balanced but requires individual adjustments.
Fixed Position
The badge always appears in the top-right corner. This creates a consistent and predictable system, but on some icons it may feel disconnected or awkwardly placed.
What matters more in a design system: consistency or optical balance?

Fixed for me. In a system, people learn where to look. I'd tweak the odd icons before breaking the rule.
