A complete electric vehicle HMI built in Rive, designed to connect to a real vehicle. It covers a driver cluster and an infotainment system.
The driver cluster includes a speedometer, battery level, range, gear selector, drive mode, and current song display. All responding to real data and ready to plug into a live vehicle.
The infotainment system features a 3D car model running in Unreal Engine, controlled directly through Rive buttons via Blueprints. You can open doors, hood, shutters, sunroof, and toggle lights. A real two way connection, not a baked animation. It also includes a music player with full playback controls ready to connect to any streaming service, and a climate control center.
The biggest highlight is the AI agent. A conversational UI built entirely in Rive, connected to a live backend. It can control things in the car like opening doors, adjusting temperature, toggling the sunroof. It can also answer questions about the vehicle. This is not a mockup. The interaction is real and demonstrated in the video.
This was a fun challenge to be part of. I ran out of time towards the end and had plans to build a bigger demo to showcase everything properly, but I'm happy with what I managed to finish. It pushed Rive into territory I haven't seen before. Data binding, scripting, 3D integration with Unreal Engine, and AI backend connectivity all in one build.
