Building a community platform with AI tools has honestly been one of the most exciting (and humbling 😅) things I’ve worked on recently.
I’ve been experimenting with AI-assisted development, Firebase, backend systems, real-time features, and product workflows — watching ideas move from prompts to actual working features feels almost unreal sometimes.
Everything was going smoothly… until #Firebase reminded me that “pay-as-you-go” actually means PAY as you go. 😂
I exhausted my free quota, tried uploading more data to the backend, and suddenly discovered I was almost $100 in usage within just a few days.
That shock was enough motivation to temporarily pause development until my wallet and ambition reconnect again. 💀
Still, the experience has been incredibly valuable. Building products today feels very different with AI tools accelerating development and experimentation.
Now I’m considering migrating away from Firebase to something more cost predictable while maintaining the existing data structure and architecture.

Built entirely in Google Stitch across a 24-hour sprint. Started with 4 hand-drawn sketches, imported them using Stitch's image-to-UI feature (Experimental Mode), then watched streaming generation turn rough wireframes into a polished interface.

I used in-place AI edits for every interaction refinement; hover states, card elevation, the sliding detail panel, the animated tone-switcher pill.
One anchor prompt and a bit of iteration and I was able to end up with a product that looks like it was built over weeks.
Had a lot of fun creating this one, Stitch is changing the Software Development Cycle in real time!

I built a working prototype for Arcadia, a modern retro-inspired browser gaming hub, using Google Stitch as the starting point for the entire design system and UI/UX.
The prototype covers the complete gaming platform experience, including:
• Landing Page
• Game Library
• Game Categories
• Search & Filtering
• Individual Game Pages
• Chess
• Tic Tac Toe
• Arcade Games
• Player Profiles
• Achievements
• Global Leaderboards
• Tournaments
• Community Features
• Premium Membership
• Responsive Navigation
• Mobile Experience
I started by using Google Stitch to generate the design system, layouts, typography, and overall UI direction. Having that foundation in place made it much easier to keep the experience consistent across the entire product.
From there, I used Claude Code with MCP tools to turn the designs into a fully functional MVP with playable browser games and interactive features. Once everything was working, I deployed the project on Netlify.
Workflow:
• Google Stitch → Design System + UI/UX
• Claude Code + MCP → Full MVP Development
• Netlify → Hosting & Deployment
I've experimented with AI-generated interfaces before, but this project felt different. What I enjoyed most was the balance between AI-generated foundations and the ability to refine, connect, and shape the product myself.
By the end, it didn't feel like AI built the product for me—it felt like I built it with AI as a collaborator. Stitch accelerated the design process, Claude Code accelerated development, and together they made it possible to go from idea to working product incredibly fast while still keeping creative control.
