Motion Designer Project Diaries 🎬 A look at what I’ve been up to recently.
Love this format, Alex. A project diary makes motion design feel so much more human than a finished reel, and the Rive tag has me curious what interactive pieces you're cooking up. Keep the diaries coming.
The Hidden Kingdom project is Rive! I love their bone and mesh system so have been using it to rig the creatures 😁

Ripple: book an Influencer the way you'd book a hotel 💧
Working with Influencer is still messy: DMs that go nowhere, rates you have to chase, contracts over email, and paying upfront with no guarantee.
Ripple puts the whole deal in one place:
• Discover Influencers matched to your Brand campaign, with real stats and a clear rate card
• Send a request and negotiate terms in chat
• Approve a proposal that both sides can see, line by line
• Sign once and it's binding for both sides
• Pay by phase, held in escrow until the work is approved
From "who should we work with?" to "booked" in minutes.

This is such a needed concept, Praveen! 👏 The influencer booking process is honestly a nightmare right now. Love how you simplified it like booking a hotel - super clear positioning. The design in the video looks clean too! 💧
I designed and built Encore, a scheduling app for a three-office orthodontic practice, then made its launch film the same way I made the app: from the real thing.
Every screen in the film is the live app, recorded on an iPhone 17 Pro simulator. I built the phones as 3D models in Rive, mapped the recordings onto their displays, and choreographed the camera, a three-phone orbit, and a closing wall of twenty screens on a single Rive timeline. No mockups, no After Effects. Swap a screen or retime a move and the film re-renders.
Nice work!!
The brief was simple. Show a new personalized news feature.
The obvious solution was to show a few clicks in the UI as you choose your topics. Clear, but not very interesting.
So I pulled that moment out of the interface first and turned it into a cloud of topics. You get the idea before you even see the product, then the video drops you back into the real UI and shows where it lives.
I really like these tiny decisions. The feature stays the same, but it feels easier to get and a lot more fun to watch.
Pulling the topic cloud outside the UI makes the feature instantly clearer.
