From the ruins of Beirut to the elephant villages of Nepal, my work is driven by the same question: how do ordinary people live with forces larger than themselves? In Chitwan, those forces happened to weigh five tons and carry a trunk.
In 2024, I joined an international volunteer program in Chitwan, Nepal, where I spent weeks living alongside rescued elephants and the families who care for them. What began as a wildlife experience soon became a human story.
Through documentary photography and field reporting, I explored the complex relationship between elephants and the people whose lives are inseparable from them—mahouts who have dedicated decades to a single animal, young caretakers navigating economic hardship, and local communities caught between conservation, tradition, and survival.
My work documented moments of tenderness and loss alike: the quiet bond between a mahout and his elephant, the daily routines behind sanctuary life, and the funeral ceremony of an elephant whose death drew an entire community into mourning.
Rather than portraying wildlife in isolation, this project examines the emotional, cultural, and ethical realities that exist where humans and animals share the same world. The resulting photographs and written narratives form part of my ongoing documentary work focused on people living at the intersection of history, conflict, environment, and social change.

For Sienna Rhodes, I designed the homepage around one idea: the portfolio should come first.
Photography clients usually want to know one thing before they read about your process, your packages, or even who you are: Do I connect with your work?
So instead of opening with a traditional introduction, the homepage leads directly into the portfolio and lets the imagery make the first impression. The supporting copy and details come later, once the work has already created that initial connection.
I’m curious where other designers and photographers land on this. Do you prefer a portfolio-first homepage, or do you think the photographer’s story should come first?
Portfolio first, every time for photography. Nobody hires off a process paragraph, they hire because one image stopped them scrolling. The story matters, but it lands harder after the work has already made the case. That start here slider does the pitch by itself.
Vitamin C Radiance — Skincare Campaign
A self-initiated luxury skincare campaign created around the concept of Vitamin C, radiance, hydration, and daily skincare rituals.
The project explores how a single skincare product can be developed into a cohesive visual campaign through different photographic compositions, editorial typography, lighting, materials, and storytelling.
Rather than repeating one product-shot formula, I developed nine individual campaign visuals, each representing a different part of the product story — from the hero product and serum texture to hydration, application, botanical inspiration, skin radiance, and the final campaign statement.
The visual direction combines warm citrus tones, translucent glass, natural light, liquid textures, editorial typography, and premium beauty photography to create a contemporary luxury skincare aesthetic.
