We all have heard things like "made file size lighter" "increases engagement" "saved times" but what if animations could actually impact real life situations as well? like stopping someone from getting their scooter towed? 👀
Yeah, that actually happened, that’s what caught my attention about Gbike’s use of
LottieFiles.
GBIKE | GCOO had a pretty real problem as stated in their case study.
As scooter usage grew, so did parking in restricted towing zones. Their existing warnings relied mostly on text and static maps, and clearly, people weren’t always noticing or understanding them.
Sooo they changed the way they communicated the warning. They used motion to make the towing risk immediately visible through animated icons and visual alerts.
And GUESS WHAT? the results were pretty crazyy.
Towing related complaints dropped by 35%. And what's more interesting is that the towing incidents fell by 32.5% while ridership increased by 40%.
This tells you
LottieFiles doesn't just add pretty visuals. It also helps people understand something at the right moment.
Sometimes animation is about helping people make a better decision in the real world. If your product is also focused around solving real life issues, adding interactive visuals can be beneficial for you as well.
Feel free to hit me up and we can figure it out together. 😃
