FundTraq Lite — Financial Visibility for Founders

What it does: FundTraq Lite is a lightweight financial dashboard built for early-stage startup founders. Founders log their income and expenses, and the app automatically calculates three things that matter most in the first years of a company: current cash balance, monthly burn rate, and runway — how many months of cash remain at the current spending pace. A live balance-over-time chart visualizes the trend, and for founders operating across currencies, a forex exposure card shows real-time exchange rates against their home currency.

The problem it solves: Most early-stage founders track their finances in scattered spreadsheets or don't track them with any real discipline at all — until a fundraising conversation or a cash crunch forces a scramble to figure out "how long do we actually have?" FundTraq Lite answers that question instantly, every time a transaction is logged, without needing a full accounting suite or a finance background to interpret it.

How I built it: I built FundTraq Lite entirely in Bubble, starting from a seeded AI-generated base and refining it manually from there. The app uses two core data types — User and Transaction — with all financial metrics (balance, burn rate, runway) calculated live using Bubble's native search and aggregation functions, no external backend required. For the balance-over-time visualization, I integrated Chart.js via an HTML element, feeding it data through Bubble's dynamic value system. Live currency conversion is handled through the API Connector, pulling real-time exchange rates from a public forex API. The landing page uses scroll-triggered animations built with Bubble's native workflow system to bring each section to life as the user scrolls.
