I opened my Contra account on August 8.

Then I got stuck.

My profile sat at 89% because my identity/payment verification wouldn't go through.

I tried. I waited. I contacted support. And eventually, I just left the account alone.

Then I came across @Anky C. 's post about hitting $10K on Contra.

And something about it got me moving again.

Not because I suddenly expected to hit $10K...( Now, that wouldn't hurt now, would it?) 😆

But because it reminded me that I can't get anywhere if I don't start.

So I went back.

I completed the verification.

Set up my wallet.

Finished my profile.

Added my work.

Created my services.

And now?

I'm ready to actually use this thing.😔

I'm still figuring Contra out, but I'm excited to learn from people who've been here longer, connect with other independents, and hopefully collaborate along the way.

When I moved from Upwork to Contra, I wasn’t sure whether I was making the right decision.

Now? I’m never going back.

Contra has given me more than a place to find work. It has connected me with clients who value my professional perspective, trust my expertise, and invest accordingly.
