“BROKEN SUMMER”
A 1990s-inspired Japanese anime VHS trailer created with AI tools and a lot of passion for old-school storytelling.
I wanted to recreate the emotional atmosphere of classic anime dramas:
rainy Tokyo nights, loneliness, love, failure, dreams, and rebuilding yourself after losing everything.
This project was heavily inspired by the feeling of 90s anime cinematography, hand-drawn cel animation aesthetics, VHS textures, and realistic human emotion.

Ikebana is the traditional Japanese art of flower arranging. It literally translates to "giving life to flowers."
Project: Ikebana is my attempt to bring that idea into a digital space.
You can create floral arrangements in both 2D and 3D, using either hand gestures or traditional mouse controls.
The part I love most: the little moments of whimsy.
Sliding Japanese fusuma doors.
Tiny kaomojis q(≧▽≦q).
Petal-shaped gesture tracking markers.
This project started with a bunch of moodboarding into FigJam board, grew through 100+ make iterations, and somehow led me into learning 3D workflows, gesture interactions, databases, debugging, and a whole lot more.
I used Weave to create many of the visual assets and models, then brought everything together in Figma Make with Supabase powering the project's content library.
I love how tools like Weave and Make encourage you to focus on what something should feel like, not just how to build it.
If there's one thing I'd love people to take away from this project:
Try something new.
You might surprise yourself.

me and my partner @Ganesh Deherkar built the good jar for the @figma config makeathon.
a little web app where you log your wins, big or small, and on a hard day, it finds you one from the past.
every design choice came back to touch — paper texture, a handwritten font, a jar that actually opens. we wanted it to feel physical, not like another productivity tool.

I could just generate random shots all day. Oddly its somewhat similar to the feeling I got when I first picked up a camera and randomly shot things.
These were all created with Midjourney and Seedance 2.
