Kicking off the week by sharing one of my favorite brand identity projects for Maya, a startup I used to work with.
They had a strong product vision but a fragmented brand, so my goal was to build an identity that felt clear, confident, and ready for growth — from story to visuals.
I focused on:
– Turning the mission and positioning into a simple, memorable narrative
– Designing a scalable visual system (logo, colors, typography)
– Extending the brand into product UI, website, and marketing touchpoints
Seeing a cohesive identity make it easier to pitch, market, and communicate with users and investors was the best part.
Which hero direction feels right for this founder-focused brand?
While working on the homepage for Sean Parsons, a brand focused on empowering non-technical founders to launch tech startups, I explored two different visual directions for the hero section. Same message, same structure, just a different mood and color system.
Option 1 - Warm Olive. Dark, grounded, and editorial, giving a warm, established, expert feel.
Option 2 - Light Purple. Clean, modern, and vibrant, giving a fresh, SaaS-like, approachable feel.
Would love your honest UX/UI take, which direction feels more trustworthy, engaging, and aligned with a founder-focused brand, and why?
