Recently, I had the privilege of shooting the highlight video for the drainage inspection exercise across Lagos, in collaboration with DocuStream Media. Led by the Lagos State Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Mr. Tokunbo Wahab, the inspection covered locations including VGC, where canals and drainages were found in very bad shape, blocked with bottles, nylon, and other plastic waste.
As a creative in the visual space, my role was to capture the story as it unfolded, from the condition of the channels to the people driving the change, and turn it into a video that is clear, honest, and worth sharing.

That's how I got to the CapCut World LA event at the Audrey Irmas Pavilion. The trip was... intense! 🦄
This is my entry for the new Contra × CapCut challenge.
My workflow:
① I created the character sheet and the prop sheet for the mushroom, as well as the location sheets for a nature landscape and the Audrey Irmas Pavilion.
② I created still shots using my internal AI image generation tool.
③ I created trippy 2D/3D animated images to use as the opening frames of the videos.
④ I imported all the images into the CapCut Video Studio and used the CapCut AI to animate them.
⑤ I created the music in ElevenLabs/ElevenMusic.
⑥ I edited the videos using DaVinci Resolve.
From Pharaoh Cafe to Hollywood - My LA Dream!
This is the full 60s journey of Mazen in white galabiya - from getting lost in Giza desert, sucked into sand vortex, falling into Pharaoh Cafe where Anubis is waiter, his chair transforms into balloon and flies him to LA to dance with palm trees and DTLA skyline behind! All made in CapCut Video Studio, character locked, 6 scenes.
