"About us" page rewrite: before and after (Ukrainian)
A rewrite of the "About us" page for a furniture workshop. The client asked to cut the filler but keep the same length.
The source had nine evaluative claims with no evidence behind them: market leader, high quality, years of experience. After a text like that the reader knows exactly as much as before it.
What I did:
Replaced judgements with numbers: founding year, number of projects, workshop floor area, production time, two price points.
Named actual material and hardware brands instead of "leading European manufacturers".
Added something the original did not have at all: a weak spot. Mentioning the budget hardware defuses a future complaint.
1,180 characters before, 1,240 after. The image shows both versions with the edits highlighted. The source text is styled after a typical website — this is a concept piece.
