I tested Runway’s new Enhance Frame Rate feature on three different types of motion: walking, a skateboard trick, and a passing tram.
Left: manually slowed down
Right: enhanced to 120fps, then slowed down
After putting them side by side, the difference is subtle but the slow motion does look smoother, especially with faster movements.
I did notice some distortion in the last scene, though, so it’s not perfect yet.
Still, it’s a useful tool when you want to slow down footage and emphasize the movement.

For this test, I wanted to focus on something notoriously tricky for AI video: emotional dialogue delivery.
What you’re seeing here is literally the first generation from text to video generation, no rerolls.
