Created for the Cantina Challenge, this project introduces two opposing original characters:
Veya β a tiny magical guardian of nature, carrying a glowing leaf and fighting to protect the beauty of Earth.
Stupidwrap β a gigantic, constantly regenerating creature made from plastic waste, representing the overwhelming force of pollution.
The heart of the story is their cinematic battle.
Veya repeatedly attacks Stupidwrap with her glowing leaf. Each time she destroys the creature, the plastic fragments come back together and Stupidwrap rises again β bigger, stronger and seemingly impossible to defeat.
The contrast between them is intentional:
One tiny guardian.
One enormous enemy.
One planet worth fighting for.
Veya may not be able to win today, but she refuses to give up. The story leaves the battle open, carrying one simple hope: that one day Veya will finally defeat Stupidwrap and help restore the beauty of Earth.
This project explores original character design, AI-assisted visual direction, cinematic storytelling, action choreography, worldbuilding, environmental storytelling and character-driven narrative.
Created as a Cantina Challenge project β not simply as an animation, but as the beginning of a visual story and an original character universe.
The battle isn't over.
Veya is still fighting.
And the future is still hers to change.
Krok is a chaotic and inventive frog who lives in a hidden creative workshop inside an abandoned industrial building. He sees possibilities where everyone else sees junk.
For the Cantina Challenge, I created Krokβs pilot episode: a 60-second animated short where his improvised engineering turns a pile of discarded metal into a homemade transforming robot.
The goal was to explore how a character can be more than a visual design, giving him a recognizable personality, environment, sense of humor, and a story engine that can generate future episodes.
Krokβs creative philosophy is simple:
Build first. Figure out why later.
The episode combines character animation, visual comedy, sound-driven storytelling and a handmade scrap-metal aesthetic to introduce the character and his chaotic world.
This project was created entirely in Cantina, from character development to the final pilot.Β
Once youβve created your Cantina account on mobile, you can log in to Cantina on desktop web and start using Creator Studio right away!
To get started, first create your Character in Cantina. Once your Character is ready, head to Creator Studio to bring them to life and create your pilot episode for the challenge.
Weβre continuing to grant Creator Studio access on mobile, but there may be a slight delay before it appears. You donβt need to wait for mobile access to start creating - you can use Creator Studio on web in the meantime. Once your Creator Studio access is granted on mobile, youβll receive a push notification from the Cantina app and an email confirmation.
As you create your pilot, we recommend submitting your video in English when possible so our judges can fully understand your character, dialogue, story, and overall concept. This is a recommendation, not a requirement for participation.
Need help along the way? Reach out to the Cantina Ambassadors in the challenge feed or message them directly in Cantina.
Happy creating!
